Hello! In case you missed it, here are some things currently happening with Legal Pantry!
I’m working on a recipe eBook of sauces and dressings (and pestos and chutneys) that I plan to release on March 20th, the first day of spring. Keep your eyeballs peeled for that!
I recently received my best compliment since starting my personal chef business four years ago. Three days a week I cook dinner for a sorority house at RPI, and last week one of the students said to me,
“You’re the only person who has ever been able to get me to eat my vegetables.”
This is so huge for me! Also, the house mother mentioned that she has noticed the girls are making healthier eating choices overall. I firmly believe that our state of health is in direct correlation with our lifestyle, and that what we eat plays a large part in the total equation . If I have inspired one person to eat more vegetables, then I can rest my head happy!
I am fully booked with weekly clients right now and have a waiting list for new clients. This business can be very unpredictable as clients’ needs change. Going from the security of employee in a 9-5 to the uncertainty of entrepreneurship has been a big adjustment over the past four years. Business is good and I am grateful.
I’ll be appearing on Schenectady Today on April 24th to discuss my career transition adventure from litigation attorney to personal chef. I hope you’ll tune in!
On a personal note, I’m currently training for the Providence Marathon in May! This will be my third marathon. Providence RI has some great restaurants and I love making a weekend out of a destination run and checking out the local food scene! A friend recently dined at Red Fin and I’m super-excited to check it out!
Remember – eat well, live bravely, inspire often. Cheers!
